Like you, we want your flowers to last as long as possible, so we have put together some helpful tips to help you get just that! From bouquets to flower arrangements we will show you how to make your flowers last longer.
Cut Flower Tips
1. Using cold tap water fill a clean vase (for looks and for minimum bacteria) to a level that will allow all the flower stems to be immersed in the water (about two thirds full).
2. Add to the water the flower preserver that has been included with your flowers. Remove any foliage (leaves) that would be immersed in the water. Cut about 2cm off the stems (on an angle) Place the vase in a cool place away from direct sunlight, strong heat and draughts.
3. Change the water every other day, adding half a teaspoon of bleach to the water to prolong the life of your flowers. If you have time also recut the stems on an angle. As some of the flowers begin to wilt, fade or droop, either cut back or remove from the vase and continue to enjoy the flowers that remain.Continue Reading
